Pokémon TCG release calendar 2026-2027 in France
In 2026, the French-language Pokémon TCG follows the rhythm of the Mega Evolution series: roughly one set every two months, plus the special 30th Celebration set released on 16 September. The next date to remember is 6 November 2026 with Delta Reign. For 2027, nothing has been officially dated so far: here's the full rundown, with the Japanese equivalents.
The 2026 calendar at a glance
| FR date | French set | Japanese equivalent |
|---|---|---|
| 30 January 2026 | Ascended Heroes (special set) | MEGA Dream ex (M2a) |
| 27 March 2026 | Perfect Order (ME03) | Nihil Zero (M3), released 23 January 2026 |
| 22 May 2026 | Chaos Rising (ME04) | Ninja Spinner (M4), released 13 March 2026 |
| 17 July 2026 | Pitch Black (ME05) | Abyss Eye (M5), released 22 May 2026 |
| 16 September 2026 | 30th Celebration | 30th Celebration (M6a), same day |
| 6 November 2026 | Delta Reign (ME06) | Storm Emeralda (M6), released 31 July 2026 |
You'll notice the usual time lag: a Japanese set generally comes out several months before its French adaptation, which often draws on cards from several Japanese sets. The 30th Celebration set is the exception, with a simultaneous worldwide release.
2026 releases so far
Ascended Heroes opened the year with a packed special set. Perfect Order took the game to Lumiose City, the setting of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, with Mega Zygarde ex in the spotlight. Chaos Rising followed in May, then Pitch Black in July, with Mega Darkrai ex and an unapologetically nocturnal feel. For the details, see our guides to Pitch Black and the Mega Evolution series.
September: the 30th Celebration set
Released on 16 September 2026, it marks thirty years of the TCG with all-foil boosters, thirty Pikachu illustrated by thirty artists and a Classic Collection of reprints. Some of the French products are still arriving in the fourth quarter of 2026, including the Ultra-Premium Collections, the Mini Tins and the Booster Bundle. It's all covered in our guide to the 30th Celebration set.
November: Delta Reign (ME06)
The last big French-language set of the year, Mega Evolution – Delta Reign releases on 6 November 2026 and has more than 135 cards. It marks the return of Mega Rayquaza, joined by Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex and Mega Samurott ex among others. Prereleases start on 24 October 2026 in participating Play! Pokémon Stores. Its Japanese equivalent is Storm Emeralda (M6).

Japan: what's coming at the end of the year
- 16 October 2026: the 30th Celebration card boxes dedicated to each generation's starters (one box per region, nine in total).
- After M6a: at the time of writing, no new Japanese set has an official date confirmed by The Pokémon Company. Names are circulating, but we prefer to wait for the official announcement before adding them to the calendar.
To make sense of the Japanese numbering, read our guide the Japanese MEGA series.
And 2027?
To date, no French-language set for 2027 has been officially announced with a name and a date. Dates are usually announced a few months before release. Be wary of calendars already showing precise dates for 2027: they're extrapolating the usual rhythm or confusing Japanese and French releases.
What we can safely say: the French set that follows Delta Reign should logically be based on the next Japanese set. We'll update this calendar as soon as official announcements are made.
How to use this calendar
- Check the Japanese equivalent if you want to see the cards before everyone else: see our guide Japanese or French booster box.
- Note the prerelease dates, usually one to two weeks before release (see prereleases and pre-orders).
- Add the products you're interested in to your request list from our Pokémon catalogue or the Mega selection.

Delta Reign (ME06), on 6 November 2026, with prereleases from 24 October 2026.
Do Japanese and French sets have the same contents?
Not always. A French set is generally based on one main Japanese set, sometimes expanded with cards from other Japanese sets. The number of cards and the numbering can therefore differ.
When will the 2027 releases be known?
Names and dates are usually announced a few months in advance. Nothing is official as of 1 October 2026; contact us if you'd like to be kept informed about a specific product.
