Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration set: everything we know

The Pokémon TCG's 30th Celebration set was released on 16 September 2026, simultaneously around the world: a first in the game's history. In Japan it's called 30th Celebration (code M6a), and it also exists in Simplified Chinese. Every card in its boosters is foil, each booster contains one of the thirty Pikachu rare cards, and a Classic Collection reprints thirty cult cards.

Key dates

  • 16 September 2026: simultaneous worldwide release of the set, in French and Japanese alike.
  • Third quarter of 2026 (French range): 2-pack blister, Knock Out Collection, Poster Collection, Sylveon ex and Greninja ex boxes, Elite Trainer Box.
  • Fourth quarter of 2026 (French range): Sticker Collection, Binder Collection, Booster Bundle, Mini Tins, Espeon ex and Umbreon ex Battle Decks, Ditto collection, Day and Night Ultra-Premium Collections, Mew and Mewtwo Figure Collection.
  • 16 October 2026 (Japan): release of the card boxes dedicated to each region's starters.

What's in a booster

The French booster contains five foil cards, one of which is always one of the thirty Pikachu rare cards, plus a foil Basic Energy card illustrated by YOSHIROTTEN. The Japanese booster follows the same principle: six cards, all foil, with a guaranteed Pikachu.

The set has more than 150 cards. It includes:

  • The 30 Pikachu rare cards, each drawn by a different artist (details in our guide the 30 Pikachu).
  • New Pokémon ex, including Sylveon ex and Greninja ex.
  • "Illustration rare" cards with a day-and-night theme (Espeon, Umbreon, Lapras, Drifloon, Zorua, Lycanroc…).
  • The new Futuristic rarity, with a distinctive shimmer, debuting with Mew and Mewtwo illustrated by YOSHIROTTEN.

The Classic Collection

Thirty iconic cards from the last thirty years are reprinted with a new foil finish and a Pikachu stamp forming the number "30". Among them: the Base Set Pikachu and Charizard, as well as Pikachu and Zekrom-GX. These reprints are not legal in the Standard format.

In French, the official announcement mentions a three-card Classic Collection booster, included in the Ultra-Premium Collections. In Japanese, these thirty cards are part of the M6a set list, after the secret cards. Find out all about the headliner in our guide Base Set Charizard.
