Delta Reign (ME06): what we know about the next Pokémon set
Delta Reign (ME06) is the sixth main set in the Mega Evolution block, scheduled for release in France on 6 November 2026. It is built around Mega Rayquaza ex and is based on the Japanese set Storm Emeralda (M6), expanded with extra cards. Here is what has been confirmed so far, and what is still to be revealed.
Confirmed information
- Name and code: Delta Reign, ME06. Its French name is Règne Delta.
- Announced release date: 6 November 2026.
- Booster packs: 10 cards per pack, with four artworks, one for each featured Mega ex.
- Elite Trainer Box: announced with Mega Rayquaza on the front.
- Japanese source: Storm Emeralda (M6), released in Japan on 31 July 2026.
As always before a release, these details may still be refined by the publisher. We will update this guide as announcements come in.
Mega Rayquaza ex and the other Mega ex
The sky dragon is the big star of Delta Reign. In the Japanese version, its Mega ex card deals damage that increases with the number of Fire and Lightning Energy attached to your Pokémon: enough to build a dedicated deck around it.
For long-time collectors, it is a real nod to the past: Mega Rayquaza had already headlined the XY Roaring Skies set in 2015, as a Mega-EX card. Seeing it return as a Mega ex, with the block's modern rarities, should appeal to nostalgic fans and newcomers alike.
Three other Mega ex join it, each with its own booster pack artwork:
| Mega ex | Type |
|---|---|
| Mega Rayquaza ex | Colorless |
| Mega Samurott ex | Grass |
| Mega Golurk ex | Psychic |
| Mega Malamar ex | Darkness |
Other Pokémon ex round out the list, such as Heat Rotom ex.
The new gameplay feature: Legendary Stadiums
Delta Reign brings two-part Legendary Stadiums to the block: two Stadium cards that, placed side by side, form a single large illustration. Among them is the Legendary Summit, which takes up two consecutive numbers in the list.
For collectors, it is a small extra challenge: an illustration is only complete with both halves. For players, these Stadiums have the particularity of staying in play once placed, until another Stadium replaces them.
Delta Reign and Storm Emeralda: what are the differences?
The core is the same: the same Mega ex, the same Legendary Stadiums, the same Supporter featuring Zinnia, the famous Trainer linked to Rayquaza. The international version does, however, add cards that are not in the Japanese set, so its list is longer. The final count, secret cards included, had not yet been fully confirmed at the time of writing.
If you don't want to wait until November, Storm Emeralda is already available in Japanese. We have a complete guide to it.
Still to be confirmed
- the full card list and the exact number of secret cards;
- the details of every rarity, including the different versions of Mega Rayquaza ex;
- the full range of additional products (boxes, tins, packs…).
We prefer not to quote any figures until this information is official.
How to get ready for the release
If Delta Reign interests you, the easiest thing is to let us know now: contact us and tell us which formats you would like (booster display, Elite Trainer Box…).
If you are unsure which format to choose, keep in mind the usual logic for main sets: the booster display holds the most packs and suits those who open in volume or want a complete sealed box, while the Elite Trainer Box appeals through its artwork (here Mega Rayquaza) and its accessories. Booster Bundles and booster packs remain the simplest way to discover the set without a big commitment. Our display vs ETB comparison explains these differences in detail.
In the meantime, you can find the previous sets in the Mega collection and read our guide to early releases and pre-orders.
